In 2007, I began making butterfly wing jewelry.  Initially, I had a few wings I had found along the way which sparked the idea. Not wanting to purchase butterflies or kill them, of course, I soon found that walking roadsides in the summer was a good way to acquire ones that had already died.  Nearly all of the butterflies, moths, dragonflies and cicadas I use are collected in Bloomington, Indiana.  Which ones I find and how many varies each year so my stock fluctuates with the rhythm of nature. Utilizing stained glass and electroforming techniques, I encase the wings in thin glass with silver solder or copper.  Each wing is unique in color, shape and size making each piece one-of-a-kind.

I vend a lot of art and music events annually (listed on my Upcoming Shows page) so I do not have all my stock available online.  Please feel free to contact me if there is something you are interested in that says "sold out" or that you do not see listed on the website.  Also, if you have a wing you've found that you would like turned into a necklace or earrings please email me.  Check out the Gallery page, too.

The box your jewelry will be sent in is 100% recycled materials.  It has non-tarnishing recycled synthetic filler and is PCF (process chlorine free).  It was manufactured in the USA with renewable hydro-electric energy.  The mailer is made from 100% recycled paper fibers.  Orders usually ship within 1 to 2 business days and generally take 2 or 3 business days to arrive.

"Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder." ~Henry David Thoreau
