Copper Sulphur Butterfly with Prehnite, Garnet and Carnelian
Delicate Sulphur Butterfly hind wing. Yellow with iridescent silvery spot circled by a deep pink that matches the pink fringe. On the opposite side, the spot is a vibrant orange. With a small wingspan reaching only 2 inches, these lovely butterflies are easily overlooked. Upon closer viewing, the true beauty of the Sulphur can be appreciated. The Sulphur Butterfly is able to colonize disturbed and cultivated areas as well as natural habitats. I have encased four hind wings in 1" glass with oxidized copper. Accented with faceted Garnet, Carnelian and Prehnite.

"Garnet is a stone of health, extracting negative energy from the chakras, and transmuting the energy to the beneficial state. It is also been known as a stone of commitment - to purpose, to others, and to oneself. The loving powers of garnet tied to reflect the attributes of devotion bringing the love of others to expressions of warmth and understanding. It is quite helpful in moods of abandonment, allowing one to realize that surrender to discontinuity brings freshness to ones life."
“Carnelian stimulates analytical capabilities and precision. It provides for perceptiveness to situations and awakens ones inherent talents and adroitness. It is also used to produce inspiration from, and connected ness with, the spiritual worlds. It protects against envy, fear, and rage, and helps to banish sorrow from the emotional structure.”
"Prehnite is a stone for dreaming and remembering. It also advances the state of meditation and furthers the avenues available during this unencumbered state."
